Bridgestone/Firestone -- in association with the La Vergne Parks and Recreation Department -- is celebrating Keep America Beautiful day on May 13th by cleaning up the proposed future greenway at Hurricane Creek Boat Ramp and planting flowers and doing landscaping at the La Vergne Senior Center, 337 Stones River Road.

A Louisiana man stopped by La Vergne police on a routine traffic stop is facing a number of charges in at least three states tonight, according to La Vergne Police Department Detective Sgt. Mike Mullen.
