La Vergne Alderman Sherry Green – who was first elected to the
board in 1996 – said she ran for office because she "wanted to
be able to do something for my community and see if I could make
it a different place." She was sworn in as Mayor of La Vergne
on April 23, 2004. She was elected Mayor for two more years in
Oct. 2004. In 2006, she ran for an Alderman position and was
elected.
A native of Cannon County, Mrs. Green graduated from Woodbury
Central High School.
A senior director at her church, Mrs. Green is the chairman of
the La Vergne Senior Citizen Advisory Board; volunteers with
Meals on Wheels and is a former volunteer of the March of Dimes
and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Married to L.C. Green for more than 30 years, Mrs. Green is
mother to Rick, Laketa and Lanae. She also has nine grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mosley has been a resident of La Vergne for over 21 years.
She is a graduate of Martin Westview High School Class of 1978 and
attended the University of Tennessee at Martin for 3 years.
The former GED instructor for McGavock Adult Ed Program and Educational
Assistant for Rutherford County Schools, she ran for Alderman in 2004
because she loves her community and enjoys serving the citizens of
La Vergne. Mrs. Mosley said "I feel that I have something to offer the
citizens of La Vergne and am willing to work 24 hours a day." She has
proven this statement by also donating her time to Box 100 where she
serves as Lieutenant of the day shift. Box 100 is a rehabilitation
group for all emergency personal on major scenes as well as CERT
(Community Emergency Response Team), and Stormspotters. Mrs. Mosley
is also a member of the Stormwater Advisory Committee.
She is married to husband Ronnie who is the captian of Truck 21 and
Tennessee Task Force 2 Urban Search and Rescue Unit in Nashville.
They have four children Lee, Jerry, Jamie, and Jenae; as well as
two grandchildren Rowan and Brandon.

Mr. Waldron's family has been in La Vergne for almost 200 years.
A long-time resident, Mr Waldron is a graduate of McGavock High
School. He is also a local business owner.
He said he ran for office because "I've been thinking
about it for 10 or 12 years. I've been active in what's going on
in La Vernge all my life. Being a member of the Planning
Commission, I have first hand experience on the ins and outs of
the city and what's happening. I know the city well and thought
I would be ideal as Alderman."
Mr. Waldron is chairman of the La Vergne Historical Preservation
Advisory Committee and a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals
and Planning Commission.
When asked about what he is most proud of accomplishing as an
Alderman he said "I'm most proud of the community
improvements such as new fire station, school and roads that
I have worked to bring about. These improvements make our
city a better, safer place to live."
Mr. Waldron has a son Kevin and a daughter Kristin.
