Elected to the office in 2002, Mr. Gann is self-employed as the owner of a service business. He has served on the board of a non-profit organization and had worked with the La Vergne Pee Wee League. He was re-elected as Aldmerman in 2006 and chosen as Vice Mayor at the first meeting after the swearing in ceremony.
He said he ran for office because he wanted to "represent the city with the county commission and school board to pressure them to get what La Vergne deserves."
A graduate of Smyrna High School, Mr. Gann currently serves as chairman for the Parks and Recreation Advisory and Economic Development committees. He is also a member of the Metropolitan Planning Organization Executive Committee.
