Mr. Bruce Richardson

Bruce has been working for the City since June, 1993. He was
originally hired as the Assistant to the City Administrator,
but was transferred to the Finance Department in September,
1993 to work as the Accounts Payable Clerk. While working in
the Finance Department, he became involved in going to the
various city meetings and taking care of city records. After
working in the Finance Dept. for almost a year, the Board of
Mayor and Aldermen appointed him as the new City Recorder in
August, 1994.
The City Recorder is the official record keeper for the City.
He attends all Mayor / Aldermen, Planning Commission, Board
of Zoning Appeals, and Beer Board Meetings and is responsible
for keeping the minutes at these meetings.
He is a member of the International Institute of Municipal
Clerks (IIMC) and the Tennessee Association of Municipal
Clerks and Recorders (TAMCAR).
He is originally from Plymouth, Vermont, which is the
birthplace of President Calvin Coolidge. He moved to
Murfreesboro, Tennessee in 1984 and attended Middle
Tennessee Christian School. He is a graduate of Harding
University where he graduated in August, 1992 with a
Bachelors Degree in Business Management. He and his wife
Becky have been married since August, 1993 and have three
children.
