Effective July 1, 2011, city property taxes will be $1.00 per $100 of assessed value.

The finance department is responsible for all of the
accounting and finance records for the City of La Vergne.
Responsibilities include bank deposits, accounts payable,
payroll, general ledger, adjusting journal entries,
investing idle funds and financial statements. The City
has an AA- bond rating with Standard and Poor's.
The City of La Vergne's Comprehensive Annual Financial
Report (CAFR) has received the Government Finance Officers
Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence
in Financial Reporting every year since 1994/1995.
Purchasing
The City of La Vergne’s purchasing department believes it
is their mission to promote an open and free market
competition for the purpose of the public procurement of
goods and services. The mission of the purchasing department
is to get the most value for the tax dollar by the prudent
spending of public funds coupled with prompt and effective
services to users, departments, and vendors. Felicia Smith
currently holds the position.
Water/Sewer
The City of La Vergne’s water/sewer billing department handles
the application and payment for the City's Water and Sewer services.
