A graduate of MTSU, he was active on campus. In addition, he is a former Rotary member,
is a former member of the Clarksville/Fort Campbell Chamber of Commerce and served on
the boards of the Montgomery County United Way and the Habitat for Humanity of
Montgomery County.
He is a member of the Franklin Road Church of Christ, where he serves as an elder.
Married to Lovette for 23 years, he has three daughters and one son, three of whom
are still living at home. His oldest daughter is a junior at Austin Peay.
His most rewarding work -- to date -- was working on a $100 million FEMA contract,
helping the residents of Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. "The victims of the
storm were so resilient and make an impact on my life," he noted.
He really wanted to work in the county in which he lived because it would offer him
the opportunity to get more involved in civic activities. But most of all, I like HR
work. There are more successes than firings in this business. Unfortunately, we only
hear about the bad ones.
