The City Planner’s office is located at 5175 Murfreesboro Road.
The City Planner answers a number of questions, including those
about the City's zoning requirements, subdivision regulations,
and application processes. He reviews site plans for development,
rezoning requests, subdivision plats, variance requests, and
special exceptions for presentation to the
Planning Commission,
the Board of Zoning Appeals(BOZA),
and the Board of Mayor and Alderman.
Additionally, he updates the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision
Regulations, which can be found on the Codes
page. The Planner is also a member of the
Nashville Metropolitan Planning Organization
(MPO) Technical Coordinating Committee. The MPO is responsible for planning and prioritizing federal
and state funded transportation projects for much of Middle Tennessee. Grant Green has been the City Planner
since June 2007.
