The City of La Vergne, Tennessee is one of the fastest growing communities in the state as well as the country. The City -- which shares a city limit with Nashville and Smyrna -- claims nearly 29,000 people. In addition, the city has the largest industrial park in the state and can boast one of the largest subdivisions in the state!
Part of the reason for the growth is the close location of the city to major interstates -- Interstate 24 runs through our city limits and Interstates 65 and 40 are within 15 miles. In addition, the availability of major city resources in Nashville and nearby Murfreesboro have aided in the growth. The northernmost city in Rutherford County, La Vergne is proud to be the home to international companies such as Bridgestone, Ingram Books, Ingram Entertainment, Waldenbooks, and more.
But, in recent years, the industrial boom in the city has multiplied numerous times, adding such well-respected companies as Nokian Tires, United Stationers, Quality Industries, Thompson Machinery and Square D.
The numerous employment opportunities, combined with a low city property tax (50 cents per $100 assessed value), access to Percy Priest Lake and location (we’re just seven miles from Nashville International Airport and two miles from the Smyrna Airport) are just some of the advantages of living in La Vergne.
New and previously owned housing are available in the city which offers all the conveniences of grocery and convenience stores, restaurants and other shopping outlets. In addition, four elementary and one high school provide quality education for students of all ages.
