ENTERTAINER SUBMISSIONS FOR 2010:
If you or a group you are with are interested in being considered for
performing at next years event, check out the information below.
Entertainment packages for the 2010 event will be accepted from
Nov. 1, 2009 through Feb. 28, 2010.
There are only four (4) available for artist performances,
which begin at 11am and end around 5pm. The performances are
30 minutes long with a break for loading and unloading in between.
If you are interested in being considered send us a CD of the
music or -- in the case of dancers -- a DVD of their performance,
a professional photo (snapshots will not be accepted), and a
bio of the artist or group on CD.
Types of music usually considered include country, bluegrass,
gospel (Southern and contemporary) and oldies. Only those with
a 30-minute set will be considered. Single-song entries will
not be considered. All types of performers will be considered;
however, no one is guaranteed a slot until the committee
has a chance to hear their CD or watch their DVD.
We do not pay for travel or hotel expenses. The average pay
for performances is $250.00.
Send your information to "Old Timers Day/City of La Vergne"
5093 Murfreesboro Road, La Vergne, TN 37086.
You must include a contact number, address and active --
often checked -- e-mail address.
If selected, we will need a Social Security Number or Federal
Income Tax number. No exceptions.
All Star Audio is the stage and sound company we will be using
for the 2010 festival. To contact them -- if you were selected
as a performer -- call 615-220-0260.
A drum set will be provided the day of the event to help speed
up the transition process. Each set is 30 minutes long with a
15-minute break between acts.
For more information contact Angie Mayes at 207-4678 or 287-8690.
She can be e-mailed at amayes at lavergne.org.
Your performance either in its entirety or partially may be
videotaped for use on La Vergne Channel 3 at a later date. The
footage can be requested for $15 for a DVD. Call La Vergne
Channel 3 at 793-6295 for more information.
