To report problems with water or sewer lines, call (615) 793-9891, Monday through
Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. For emergencies (water or sewer line breaks, etc.) after
hours, call (615) 793-9891 and press option 9. If your water or sewer has been shut
off due to non-payment, please call the billing department at (615) 793-5932, to
schedule a reconnection.
To sign up for La Vergne City Water/Sewer service, residents and business owners
must come to La Vergne City Hall, 5093 Murfreesboro Road. The Water/Sewer Service
office is open from 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday. They are closed
Saturday and Sunday.
An application consisting of the following must be filled out: Resident’s and
spouse’s (if applicable) name, address, social security number, driver’s license
number, place of employment. A Photo ID is also required.
Residents purchasing a new home must also bring a copy of the "Certificate of
Occupancy," given to them by their builder. They also need a Settlement
Statement for a new home or an existing home. Renters must bring a copy of their
lease agreement.

A service fee of $50 for residential and $75 for commercial/business accounts is
required when the resident/business owner applies for the service.
There is a $25 returned check charge.
Payment Options (Office):
We take check and cash payments in the office.
We take Debit Card payments in the office. There is a service charge of $2.50.
We take Credit Card payments in the office. There is a service fee of $2.50 and above.
Payment Options (Phone):
We take Credit Card and Check payments by phone. There is a flat rate service
charge of $4.00 for this service.
Payment Options (Web):
We take Credit Card and Check payments via VitalChek’s web payment portal.
There is a flat rate service charge of $4.00 for this service.
The service fees are charged by the card processing company not the City of La Vergne.
The City of La Vergne does not receive any portion of the service fee.
Payment Option (Automatic Withdrawal):
To sign up for Automatic Payments, please complete the following form and return
it to the Water/Sewer Service office along with a canceled check. The application
can be downloaded from here.

Visa Debit Card Customers
Due to an issue between VISA and VitalChek (our debit card processing company)
we can no longer accept/process "VISA" debit cards that bare/use
"INTERLINK" through our system. (Per VitalChek: At this time, VISA
has not approved any merchant to accept VISA issued cards for in person
transactions with a processing fee.)
If you would like we can attempt to process your Visa debit card through
VitalChek’s credit card process system, however there will be a service
charge of $4.00. (This fee is charged by the VitalChek.
The City of La Vergne does not receive this fee.)
We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Final Notices
We no longer send out final notices prior to the water being shut off.
There is a $25 charge for water being turned off for non-payment or returned checks.

Please call the number listed at the top of this page for after hours (4:30 p.m.) scheduling.
Request must be made prior to 8:00pm. If after hours services are used, you MUST come
to the Water Department in City Hall by 9 a.m. the next day and pay or service will
be turned back off. The second time the service is turned off, it will not be restored until
payment is made.
Request for availability of water/sewer - $100 for each development.
